TRANSFERRED STAFF FROM CIVIL SERVICE (LUPSA) TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT SERVICE

The Office of the Head of Civil Service on 29th March, 2019 officially transferred 644 staff of the Land Use and Spatial Planning Authority (LUPSA) formerly Town and Country Planning Department to the Local Government Service. The purpose of the transfer is to operationalize the Physical Planning Department (PPD) at the MMDAs. The Physical Planning Department as established per the Second Schedule of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936) and section 185(4) of Land Use Spatial Planning, 2016 (Act 925) comprise of Parks & Gardens and Spatial Planning Units. In view of this, the MMDAs are to officially recognize the transferred staff as staff of the LGS. Below is the list of the officers who are now staff of the LGS.
