OHLGS – Monday September 08, 2025: The Office of the Head of Local Government Service (OHLGS) has organised a farewell ceremony for the 2024/2025 batch of Nineteen (19) National Service Personnel who served diligently with the institution.
In an opening address, the Director Administration and General Services, Ms. Golda Asante said the purpose of the ceremony was to provide the NSPs the platform to share experiences gained with the OHLGS in the course of their national service.
In an interactive session, each of the service personnel was given the opportunity during which they shared knowledge gained; remarkable relationships with management and staff; challenges they encountered that impeded their flow of work and made some recommendations for management’s consideration.
The Head of Service, Prof. Lord Mensah commended the service personnel for their commitment to work while with the OHLGS. He urged them to utilise the skills, knowledge and experiences acquired at the OHLGS wherever they find themselves after national service. He also encouraged them be innovative, discipline and remain distinct in both their personal and professional lives.
The national service personnel expressed their gratitude to management and staff of the OHLGS for the opportunity to gain some professional experiences for the world of work. The service personnel presented a water dispenser as a token to the office.
Present at the event were some management members and senior officers of the OHLGS.
