OHLGS – FRIDAY, 31ST MARCH, 2017 (10:00 am): The Head of Local Government Service, Dr Callistus Mahama met members of staff of the Office of the Head of Local Government Service (OHLGS) in a brief meeting to officially bid them farewell as his 4 -year tenure as Head of Service comes to an end.
Addressing members of staff, Dr. Callistus Mahama recounted some fond memories during his tenure and said some tough decisions he took while in active service were a display of goodwill and for the collective interest of the Service. He expressed appreciation to members of staff for diverse contributions made in moving the Service a notch higher. He indicated that the OHLGS currently has the full complement of staff required for any public service institution.
He conveyed his gratitude to Directors and Heads of Units for the immense support given him during his tenure as Head of Service and advised members of staff not to relent on their effort but rather continue to give off their best in discharging their duties.
He expressed optimism about the future of the Service and urged staff of the entire Service to rally behind the new head of Service and provide him with maximum support in order to continue the LGS’ success story.
The Chief Director, Mr. Joseph M. Dasanah on behalf of staff of OHLGS, expressed sincere gratitude to Dr. Mahama for his dedicated leadership role since he took office in March, 2013 as Head of Service and wished him well in all endeavours.
