HEAD OF SERVICE VISITS RCC AND TWO ASSEMBLIES IN THE VOLTA REGION

Ho – Monday May 24, 2021: The Head of the Local Government Service, Ing. Dr. Nana Ato Arthur has appreciated staff of the Service for the continuous demonstration of hard work and team spirit over the past months notwithstanding the COVID 19 pandemic.

Dr. Arthur made the calls during working visits to the Regional Coordinating Council, Adaklu District and Ho Municipal Assemblies on the side lines of a training programme for environmental health officers responsible for the prosecution of sanitation related offenses in the Volta Region.

The visits were to afford the Head of Service first hand information on happenings at the sub-national levels and interact with staff.

Dr. Arthur ceased the opportunity to urge staff to be professional and eschew tendencies that undermine political neutrality in the line of duty as public servants. He warned staff to desist from actions and conducts that may bring the hard-earned reputation of the Service to disrepute. He urged all to be up and doing to ensure that improved services are delivered to the citizenry at all times.

Staff of the various institutions visited also used the platform to seek clarification on issues of concern which were addressed accordingly.

The Head of Service was received at the RCC by the Volta Regional Minister, Archibald Letsa and at the Assemblies by the respective Chief Executives.
