Accra – Wednesday, January 13, 2021: The Head of Service, Ing Dr. Nana Ato Arthur, together with Management met with the staff of the Office of the Head of the Local Government Service (OHLGS) at a durbar to ring in the new year and set the tone for work in year 2021.
Dr Arthur opened discussion with a welcome to all staff and noted that a lot was carried out to ensure progress of work even amid the COVID-19 pandemic in the past year. He also commended staff for the professional manner and the neutrality with which work was discharged in the previous year.
The Head of Service called on staff to reflect deeply on the successes and challenges of the past and with optimism forge strategies for the new year.
He urged staff to continue to adhere to the COVID-19 protocols especially with the recent surge in COVID infections to ensure the safety. He called for the collective efforts of all directorates and units to maintain good work balance to aid implementation of administrative reforms.
Staff took advantage of the opportunity offered and raised issues of concern, which were addressed. The staff also expressed gratitude to the Head of Service and other colleagues for making 2020 a success.
