The Office of the Head of the Local Government Service (OHLGS) has appointed Mr. Peter Essiam Asante as the new Director of Human Resources Management. He takes over from Mr. Robert Odei-Ntow who has retired from the Service.
Mr. Asante, the immediate past Acting Coordinating Director of the Prestea Huni-Valley Municipal Assembly is a Director of Administration by grade and comes to the job with a wealth of experience and knowledge in diverse disciplines.
The new Director worked at the Ministries of Communication and Information, Western and Central Regional Coordinating Councils. He also served as a Deputy Director of Human Resource Management at the then Local Government Service Secretariat and as a Tutor of Sefwi Wiawso College of Education.
He holds a Master’s degree in Governance and Sustainable Development, Bachelor’s degree in English and Religion and a Diploma in Education from the University of Cape Coast. Mr. Peter Essiam Asante has attended various courses and seminars both locally and internationally.
