ACCRA – WEDNESDAY 26TH & THURSDAY 27TH APRIL, 2018: The Head of Service, Ing. Dr. Nana Ato Arthur continued his interaction with staff of the Service with visits to selected Assemblies in the Greater Accra Region. The visits particularly to the new Assemblies were to obtain firsthand information on the operations of these Assemblies. The Assemblies visited included Ledzekuku and La Dadekotopon Municipal Assemblies in the old Assemblies category; and some new ones namely; Ayawaso East, Ayawaso North, Ayawaso West and Ablekuma West Municipal Assemblies.
In his interactions with management and staff of the various Assemblies, the Head of Service shared his vision for the Service and urged for collaboration and team work. He emphasised the importance of communication for effective service delivery; and stressed the need for staff to be professional in the discharge of duty as that made them politically neutral.
The visits revealed that staff posted to the new Assemblies were at post and actively engaged. He called on staff to co-operate with their Municipal Co-ordinating Directors to ensure smooth running of their Assemblies.
The Head of Service was accompanied by the Chief Director, Mr Joseph Dasanah and other senior staff at the Office of the Head of Local Government Service.
