Accra-Monday October 14, 2019: The Head of the Local Government Service Ing. Dr Nana Ato Arthur has paid a working visit to the Ga North Municipal Assembly, one of the newly created District Assemblies in the Greater Accra Region.
He was met on arrival by the Municipal Chief Executive, Madam Getrude Ankrah, the Co-ordinating Director, Dr Ahmed Rufai Ibrahim and some Heads of Departments. The visit forms part of the Head of Service’s familiarisation visits to Metropolitan, Municipal and Districts Assemblies.
Dr Arthur moved from office-to-office to interact with staff after which a forum was organised for collective interaction with the entire staff. The meeting also afforded staff the opportunity to interact with the Head of Service during which they sought clarification on issues of concern.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Madam Getrude Ankrah was delighted about the Head of Service’s visit and pledged her Assembly’s continuous support and commitment to realisation of the vision of the Service.
The visit to the Ga North Municipal Assembly was Dr Arthur’s first official working visit since it was inaugurated in 2018.
