Accra – Monday, 24th June, 2024: The executives of the Local Government Service Procurement Professional Association of Ghana (LOGPPAG) paid a courtesy call on the Head of Local Government Service, Ing. Dr. Nana Ato Arthur today. The team was led by the outgoing President, Mr. Lawson K. B. Ashorm. The purpose of the meeting was to introduce the newly elected executives to the Head of Service following their recent elections.
Mr. Lawson introduced the newly elected national executives represented by: Mr. Haruna Nasiru, President, Mr. George Otchere, Vice President and Ms. Olivia O. Frimpong, the Financial Secretary.
He used the avenue to thank the Head of Service for his continuous support to the Association especially during his tenure as President and expressed the hope that same or more support would be extended to the incoming executives.
Ing. Dr. Nana Ato Arthur congratulated the new executives on their election. He encouraged them to uphold the exemplary qualities of the previous administration, emphasizing the importance of accountability, transparency, and prioritizing the welfare of their members. He highlighted that these values would motivate and strongly bond the members of the Procurement Professionals Association.
On his part, Mr. Haruna Nasiru, the incoming president of the Association assured the Head of Service that his team would live up to the expectation of the members who reposed their confidence in them by electing them.
He was grateful to the Head of Service for granting them audience.
