OHLGS ORIENTATES MMDCEs AND MMDCDs ON THE LGS 2018 PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT CONTRACT

TAMALE – Monday February 19, 2018: As part of series of orientation workshops organized on the LGS 2018 Performance Management Contract (PMC), the Office of the Head of the Local Government Service (OHLGS) has met MMDCEs and MMDCDs from the three Regions of the North (Northern, Upper East and Upper West) at the Global Dream Hotel in Tamale. The workshop was designed to provide MMDCEs and MMDCDs with insights into the contents of the 2018 PMC while creating a platform for stakeholders to reach consensus on the Key Performance Areas (KPAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

The Chief Director of OHLGS, Mr. Joseph Dasanah stated that PMC was a process that linked several areas such as performance planning, managing performance throughout the year, and taking stock of Assemblies performance and potential. He further said the effective implementation of PMC will see Assemblies performance oriented towards achieving the Service’ goal.

The Deans of the Chief Executives and Co-ordinating Directors expressed appreciation to the Service for an interactive session and pledged to give their out-most co-operation to support the Service enhance service delivery.

Mr. Dasanah in his closing remarks said the level of participation during the workshop was encouraging and urged participants to ensure service delivery at were adhered to in their assemblies. He stated that Service Delivery was to improve the lives of the people, hence the need to fully understand the importance of the Performance Management Contract.

The Chief Director of the OHLGS was accompanied by Directors and other senior officers from OHLGS.
