OHLGS PRESENTS DRAFT LGS 2018 BUDGET ESTIMATES TO THE PARLIAMENTARY SELECT COMMITTEE ON LOCAL GOVERNMENT & RURAL DEVELOPMENT

PARLIAMENT HOUSE – Wednesday December 13, 2017: The Head of Service, Dr. Nana Ato Arthur led officials from the Local Government Service (LGS) to meet the Parliamentary Select Committee on Local Government and Rural Development to present its Draft Budget Estimate for the 2018 financial year for consideration.

Highlights of the budget presentation by the Director for Policy, Planning, Budgeting, Monitoring and Evaluation, Mr. Gregory Addah at the Office of the Head of the Local Government Service (OHLGS) included policy outcomes; indicators and targets, 2017 Budget Performance and Achievements, key challenges as well as the 2018-2021 Medium Term Focus.
Members of the Committee shared their views and made recommendations on the Draft Budget Estimates presented.

Present at the meeting were the Hon. Minister for Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD), Hajia Alima Mahama and her Deputy, Hon. O.B. Amoah. Others were Chief Director, Directors and Staff of the OHLGS and Regional Coordinating Councils (RCC) as well as a representative from the Ministry of Finance (MoF).
