The Office of the Head of the Local Government Service (OHLGS) as part of the processes leading to the implementation of the Performance Management System (PMS) of the Local Government Service (LGS) for the year 2024, has undertaken some minor review of the 2023 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to reflect Government priorities and the LGS strategic vision for the current year among others, to be adopted for the performance year 2024.
Consequently, all Regional Coordinating Councils (RCCs) are requested to organize the signing of the 2024 Performance Contracts of Regional Coordinating Councils and that of their respective Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) between Monday, 29th January – 9th February, 2024 and submit ONLY a copy of the Declaration Page (SECTION 12 of the Contract Document) together with photographs of the signing ceremony to the OHLGS via post or through ohlgs@lgs.gov.gh not later than Friday, 16th February, 2024.
I count on the full cooperation of all Regional Ministers and their Regional Coordinating Directors to spearhead the process for a smooth implementation of the LGS Performance Management System across the Service.
Attached is the final copy of the Performance Contract for both the RCCs and MMDAs.
