STAFF OF OHLGS EMBARK ON A HEALTH WALK TO MARK GHANA’S 60TH ANNIVERSARY

Aburi- 6th March, 2017:  Staff of the Office of the Head of the Local Government Service (OHLGS) embarked on a health walk up the Aburi Mountains in the Eastern Region in commemoration of Ghana’s 60th Independence Day celebrations. It was the first of its kind to have been organized by the Staff Welfare Association of the OHLGS as part of the 2017 activities lined up for the year.

The exercise was among other things, to ensure that staff of the Service become more active and healthier. It begun at 6.45am from Ayi Mensah through some communities dotted along that stretch of road to the frontage of the Peduase Lodge, the final place of convergence.

Members of staff had the opportunity to be taken through some aerobic sessions amidst jama and other forms of music. The health walk was indeed a great experience particularly for first timers who are hoping the Welfare Association organises it regularly.
