OHLGS HOLDS END OF YEAR STAFF DURBAR AND AWARDS FOR RETIREES.

ACCRA – Thursday December 23, 2021: The Office of the Head of the Local Government Service (OHLGS) ended the year 2021 with a staff durbar that created opportunity for performance appraisal of the year under review and to also put the ensuing year into perspective.

The Head of Service, Ing. Dr. Nana Ato Arthur in a brief statement, lauded staff for the hard work and team spirit demonstrated even in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. He praised the Directors and Heads of Units for the able leadership they provided which motivated the entire staff to give off their best. He urged those with performance below par to measure up in the coming year. He advised staff to take very good care of themselves during the festive season.

The durbar was also used to honour eleven (11) retired staff of the OHLGS. The retirees were presented with citations and other gifts in appreciation of the hard work and commitment exhibited while they were in active service. The retirees were elated about the gesture especially being the first of its kind. Mr Addah who spoke on behalf of the retirees noted that the achievements attributed to them were achieved through collective efforts, as such officers in active service also shares in those achievements.

The durbar provided opportunity for socialization among management and staff; and also between retirees and those in active service. The event was held at the Nathan Anang Quao Auditorium at the Secretariat of Civil and Local Government Staff Association, Ghana, (CLOGSAG).
